Starting an Anti-Aging Business

Interview with Anti-Aging Entrepreneur David Tippie

Oh, to be young again. David and Stephanie Tippie are tapping the fountain of youth for their many clients. If you are interested in starting an anti-aging business, you'll enjoy hearing about their entrepreneurial adventure.

David Tippie is the founder of the Anti Aging Clinic Association, who was courageously joined by his wife, now co-owner Stephanie.

We decided to ask David to share his experiences in starting an anti-aging business.

David, tell us about your current business. What are you doing exactly?

I started the Anti Aging Clinic Association in 2001.

The Anti-Aging Clinic centers its strategy on the premise that the company resonates with the consumer because it offers holistic products and safe comprehensive natural programs for the preservation of disease and enhancement of health all around, age intervention, and beauty. We empower our clientele to "Age Younger" by teaching them to perform daily "housekeeping" on their body, thus building a stronger immune system. Without good health, you cannot achieve true beauty.

The roots of the business go way back before I met my wife Stephanie, health has always been my passion. Health and appearance was also important to Stephanie and two years after meeting in GYM, we married. Three years after I had opened the doors of the clinic, Stephanie made the decision to join me.

However, she was more than the material girl living in the material world. She had been part of the medical industry and when she joined me, it was the opposite of the wellness industry but she believed that ultimately taking care of oneself naturally from within through proper nutrition and exercise is essential to health and beauty.

Stephanie has always taken great care in her appearance and delighted herself in health and beauty facts and tips; so in 2004 when she decided to team up with me to help build our Anti-Aging Clinic concept and bring it to the world it was a positive step for her.

Stephanie’s hobby turned into a passion with the clinic, Stephanie took a bold step leaving the security of her job, selling medical equipment to begin selling a lifestyle change with me, but she found that she was better off for joining me in the venture.

We leveraged our personal funds to improve our chances to expand across the US market in search for an equity partner to accelerate that process.

What were you doing before this, and is this your first business?

I was a general contractor and I had been in business for myself for more than 25-years. Stephanie was an international sales executive for major medical manufacturers and had never been in business for herself up until then and that disserves a metal to take that first step to independence, trust me, I know.

Who are your main competitors? How do you compete against them?

Anti Aging physicians, plastic surgeons, dermatologists and medical spas would are our main competitors.

The Anti-Aging Clinic outshines these industry participants because we hold an un-fair advantage because of our ongoing research and development that provides the most comprehensive and unique holistic program for wellness and age intervention in the world. This is perhaps the main way the company distinguishes itself from competition in our industry. We aim to differentiate ourselves in this market by delivering more knowledge, results, and value to our target customers in an instilled patentable teamwork approach absent from any competition.

How has your experience in running the business been different from what you expected?

My vision and passion was always to empower people to transform their health and "Age Younger." We have succeeded in achieving this goal with the added passion from Stephanie and now we are looking to expand our clinics.

Is there anything you wish you had done differently?

We should have begun an internet marketing campaign to bring more awareness to others outside of the South Florida area, earlier.

What have you done that has been very effective in helping to grow the business?

This is a word of mouth business. Our dedication to our clientele has been the most effective tool in growing the business.

What advice would you give to somebody else who wanted to start a similar business?

Make sure that you are an expert in the field. Instill trust in your clients. Do not become a "me to" clinic.
